Scarlett Evans is an author based in York, England.
Scarlett always wanted to work in a bookshop or be given a library (thank you Disney’s Beauty and the Beast for implanting that little idea) – that didn’t pan out so instead, she wrote a debut novel where the story’s heroine loves books and works in a bookshop so she could live vicariously through her character’s story.
Scarlett earned a Master’s degree in publishing from UCL and even worked in the publishing industry for a little while, but always wanted to write books (in her library, preferably with dishes that wash themselves). Her greatest joy is sharing magical stories for adults to enjoy – because why should kids get to have all the fun?
